Overview
Adam Lippes is seeking talented, motivated design students with an interest in the luxury market to assist our downtown Manhattan studio. Joining us for a full season, interns will get the chance to observe a collection from start to finish. Working within the design team, we seek a quick learner who can work alongside the team from initial research and development through to sampling. Interns benefit from a small, close knit working environment along with local sampling and production of garments; allowing them to see all aspects of what it takes to create a collection.
Requirements
• Fashion design or related field of study
• Excellent creative research
• Strong drawing skills
• Pattern making/ sewing skills
• Basic Understanding of garment construction
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite
• Strong communication skills and effective team member
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm are key
• Quick thinking and adaptability
• Must currently live in the NYC area and be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days a week

Responsibilities & Skills
• Researching design inspiration, fabric manipulation, and embroidery techniques
• Creation and maintenance of design boards
• Assist the team in the fittings and development process.
• Working with woven patterns - adapting, copying, and working on placements for print, crochet and
embroidery, etc.
• Working closely with the team and our local factories through the sampling process
• Cutting fabrics and maintaining in-house atelier
• Assist in styling, photoshoots, and shows
• Assist with daily administrative tasks and organization
