Role Description The Accounting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and assisting in the production of financial statements. Day-to-day tasks include reconciling accounts, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring proper use of accounting software to support the practice’s financial operations. The role also involves supporting finance-related reporting and collaborating with administrative staff to ensure timely, compliant financial processes.

- Strong proficiency in reconciliations to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
- Experience with Accounting Software and performing Journal Entries (Accounting) for daily bookkeeping and record maintenance.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for reviewing financial data, identifying variances, and recommending improvements.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, including GAAP, and prior experience in healthcare or medical practice settings is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office software.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams and maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
