Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, and prenatal massage
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment details, ensuring compliance with privacy standards
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and address any questions or concerns during sessions
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in massage therapy
- Proven experience in various massage modalities such as deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy and pain management
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients
- Previous experience working in a med spa or wellness center is highly desirable
