Med/Surg / Emergency Department

Full-Time | 36 Hours/Week | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

We are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical and Emergency Departments. This night shift position offers a consistent 36-hour work week, a retention bonus, and the opportunity to expand your clinical skills in a fast-paced, supportive hospital setting.

What You’ll Do

• Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse

• Assist with patient assessments, care plans, and evaluation of patient responses

• Deliver total patient care including hygiene, ambulation, and elimination needs

• Educate patients and families as directed by the RN

• Initiate and assist with emergency support measures (Basic Life Support required)

• Support ER patient care as a second assist when needed

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records

• Ensure patient confidentiality and professional, courteous interactions

• Maintain a safe work environment by following OSHA standards and universal precautions

• Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and supply management

• Monitor coworker workload and provide assistance as needed

• Participate in staff education, orientation, and mandatory meetings

• Float to other departments as needed with appropriate orientation

• Support outpatient services when requested (e.g., SC, CR, SLS)

• Adhere to hospital safety, risk management, and quality improvement policies
