Adagio Health is looking to hire a full-time Health & Nutrition Educator for its Allegheny County office in Pittsburgh, PA. The pay for this position is $19.40/hour
SNAP-Education: Adagio Health SNAP-Ed provides nutrition education centered on the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and promotes a healthy lifestyle to a diverse population in a variety of settings. Our program reaches preschool, school-age, adult and senior members in our communities. You will also team up with community partners as well as school leaders to help improve the wellness of those participating in our program through Policy, Systems, and Environmental (PSE) change initiatives.
Teen Outreach Program (TOP):TOP is a social-emotional learning curricula designed for middle and high school youth.
Responsibilities:
- Initiates and delivers education in a variety of settings.
- Ensures curricula is delivered as intended following program guidance and guidelines.
- Delivers engaging, interactive, and concise lessons.
- Builds relationships with program partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
- Maintains regular communication with program partners.
- Initiates, leads, and provides technical assistance on supporting projects-based partner needs.
- Delivers indirect channels.
- Completes all required documentation, data tracking, and data entry by determined deadlines.
- Provides high quality customer service and participant recruitment in coordination with other Adagio Health initiatives as appropriate.
- Collaborates with other educators to share ideas.
- Works/travels in any offices as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BS degree in public health, education, nutrition or a related field. Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to: develop, provide and evaluate education programming. Experience in youth education in a school setting and in public health is desirable. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable car. Travel is required on a regular basis.
