What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unreal Game/Simulation Developer position at Adacel?
Position Summary:
Under general direction of the Manager of Engineering, the Unreal Game/Simulation Software Developer participates in the design, development, and testing of effective new software or enhancements to existing software in support of maintenance and enhancement of the Adacel product lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform software coding, testing, and create relevant documentation across multiple products with minimal supervision.
• Work with Product Management and subject matter experts to identify and clarify requirements.
• Display leadership within a team environment and contributes from their knowledge level.
• Optimize Engineering processes by recommending improvements to policies and procedures.
• Estimate software work packages and provide input to proposal responses.
• Assist in “Tier 3” engineering support of customer problems to resolve defects in fielded systems.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of design and development experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of development using Epic Game’s Unreal engine.
- Strong working knowledge of advanced C/C programming.
- Strong working knowledge of NVidia shading language.
- Strong working knowledge of real-time 3D rendering techniques.
- Experience with Performance Optimization Techniques
- Experience with Industry-standard data formats such as OpenFlight, 3ds MAX, DDS and RGB.
- Experience with Texture compression techniques.
- Experience with animation, 3D graphics.
- Experience with VR/AR
- Must currently have or have the ability to obtain a U.S. passport.
- Must be able to pass an FAA background check.
- Must be able to pass background and security checks to enable access to military sites.

- Ability to pass a security clearance background check.
- It requires 65% of traveling.
Desired
- Strong mathematical background.
- DirectX and/or OpenGL graphics programming.
- Knowledge of aeronautical domain.
- Knowledge of the UML and XML languages.
- Knowledge of component- based software development.
Other Qualifications:
· Ability to adhere to Adacel’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
· Ability to pass an Adacel background check while employed.
· Ability to travel on a frequent basis without advance notice. We do not offer visa sponsorship.***

Salary: From $65K Depending on direct years of experience.
Work Environment:
· Location: Orlando, Florida
· Job Status: Full Time
· Alternative work schedule 9/80 when possible (Every other Friday off work when project permits)
· Normal office environment.
· Constant airline and car travel.
· Typically sitting at a desk, walking and standing.
