Applications are now being accepted for an Administrative Assistant in the Projects Division for Safety Engineering. Starting wage is $20.80 - $23.90 per hour, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Under the direction of the Sr. Administrative Assistant, the Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative, secretarial, accounting, and clerical duties as it relates to the Safety Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Design and Safe Sidewalk teams.
· The Administrative Assistant will assist all of Safety Engineering in preparing files, contracts, purchase orders, contracts, and assisting with data entry.
· The incumbent will answer customer inquiries or direct them to appropriate department or individuals.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Proven and effective customer service skills are necessary.
· The successful candidate must have considerable experience using Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and GIS mapping systems.
· The incumbent must have good knowledge of general office practices & procedures.
· Any combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable.
