What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor/Custodian position at Ada Brand?
Basic Function: Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for performing daily cleaning of a community day service facility, including office spaces, common program areas, warehouse, Cafe and restrooms, as well as maintaining cleanliness in exterior areas surrounding the building perimeter.

Supervises (Position Title): N/A
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cleans, sweeps, and mops floors as required by the cleaning schedule.
- Washes mirrors, stalls, walls, sinks, and baseboards.
- Vacuums, shampoos, and scrubbing carpets as applicable.
- Conducts periodic buffing, stripping, and waxing of floors.
- Cleans and sanitizes water fountains, telephones, and janitorial closets.
- Uses the correct procedures for each cleaning task.
- Follows manufacturer’s recommendation for use of all cleaning solutions.
- Follows all safety procedures when operating equipment.
- Informs supervisor of any equipment malfunction or unusual occurrences on the job.
- * Maintains equipment, supplies, and supply room in an orderly fashion.
- * Performs other duties as assigned.

Specifications:
- 6 months of experience in the janitorial/custodial field (or completion of a janitorial/custodial-training program)
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
