Women’s Ministry Childcare Coordinator
Part-Time | Approximately 10 hours per week
Location: Ada Bible Church – Bella Vista or Kentwood
About the Role
The Women’s Ministry Childcare Coordinator plays a vital role in helping women fully engage in our Wednesday morning ministry groups by ensuring our childcare program runs safely, smoothly, and with warmth.
This person leads a team of volunteers and paid caregivers, creates welcoming spaces for children, and oversees all logistics—from check-in and setup to cleanup and safety. What You’ll Do
Program Operations
- Arrive early on Wednesdays to prepare rooms, supplies, and age-appropriate activities.
- Manage check-in and check-out; maintain accurate attendance and incident logs.
- Float between rooms to support caregivers and ensure proper ratios.
- Oversee room cleanup and reset after programming.
- (Optional) Assist in a classroom for Ada Bible Moms on Tuesday mornings (8:30–11:30am).
Team Coordination
- Recruit, screen, schedule, and support childcare volunteers and providers.
- Build and maintain weekly coverage schedules; arrange substitutes when needed.
- Encourage your team and model a caring, professional tone.
- Approve timecards for childcare staff.
Child Safety & Care
- Uphold all safety, bathroom, and illness policies.
- Respond to minor incidents and parent concerns calmly and compassionately.
- Maintain appropriate adult-to-child ratios by age group.
Administration
- Track attendance, hours, and supply needs.
- Communicate with the Women’s Ministry Director of Operations regarding updates or needs.
- Coordinate with staff on allergies, special accommodations, and room assignments.

- Experienced in supervising childcare, preschool, nursery, or kids’ ministry teams.

Schedule & Compensation

Approximately 10 hours per week:
- Wednesdays: 4–5 hours (including setup and teardown).
- Tuesdays: 2–3 hours (optional classroom support).
- Additional flexible time for scheduling, communication, and admin tasks.
- Occasional additional paid hours for special events or trainings (pre-approved).
