Role Description
This is a full-time, role for a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver located in Central Virginia. The role involves transporting individuals to and from medical appointments and other essential destinations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner. Drivers will assist passengers as needed, maintain vehicle cleanliness, adhere to schedules, and ensure compliance with applicable safety and regulatory guidelines. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate trip logs and reporting any maintenance issues or transportation concerns.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience in professional driving
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to ensure passenger safety, operate mobility assistance equipment, and attend to special needs respectfully
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, including checking engine fluids and tire pressure
- Familiarity with local routes and the ability to navigate to various locations efficiently
- Dependability, punctuality, and the ability to adhere to schedules
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, or related fields is an advantage
