About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our QA and development team. The SDET will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through automation, performance testing, and robust test framework design. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to build scalable automation solutions and maintain high standards of code quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools.
Collaborate with the development team to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Write and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Identify, analyze, and document bugs and issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving testability and product quality.
Work closely with product and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Implement best practices for automation testing, test data management, and continuous testing.
Develop API and UI automation using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or REST Assured.
Monitor and maintain test environments and test data.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Experience with automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Proficient in API testing (Postman, REST Assured, Swagger).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, testing types, and SDLC/STLC.
Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good to Have:
Experience in performance or load testing (JMeter, Gatling).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based testing.
Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
