Therapist (Full‑Time) – Ad Astra Advocacy Center
Ad Astra Advocacy Center is a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) — a safe, child‑focused space where multidisciplinary professionals work together to support children who have experienced abuse. Our mission is “to foster healing and restore hope by providing a safe, welcoming space where survivors of trauma can share their stories and receive compassionate, coordinated care.”
We are seeking a full‑time Therapist to provide trauma‑focused assessment and treatment for children and their supportive caregivers. This role includes providing PSB‑CBT services (training provided).
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
- Provide evidence‑based, trauma‑informed therapy (TF‑CBT, PSB‑CBT, PCIT, CBITS, EMDR, play therapy, etc.)
- Offer individual and group therapy
- Facilitate caregiver support and psychoeducation
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in MDT and staff meetings
- Attend ongoing training and professional development
- Master’s‑level professional license in Kansas (in good standing)
- Experience working with children and families impacted by abuse
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care and treatment planning
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Some evening availability
- Ability to pass background and child abuse registry checks
- Clinical licensure (LCPC, LSCSW, LCMFT, etc.)
- 3 years working with abused children
- Certification in TF‑CBT, PCIT, CBITS, or EMDR
- $60,000–$65,000/year (based on license & experience)
- Training in TF‑CBT and PSB‑CBT
