ACX Notary is a nationwide mobile and remote online notary company providing professional signing services for title companies, lenders, attorneys, estate planning firms, and signing services across the United States.
Our team is committed to professionalism, accuracy, communication, and exceptional client service during every appointment. We are currently expanding our nationwide network of experienced and reliable Notary Signing Agents to assist with real estate closings, estate planning signings, general notary work, and remote online notarizations.
This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling opportunities.
Summary
As a Notary Signing Agent with ACX Notary, you will accept signing assignments within your local coverage area, print and prepare documents from your home office, travel to appointment locations, facilitate professional signings, complete notarizations in compliance with state law, complete scanbacks when required, and return documents promptly according to signing instructions.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent communication and professionalism with clients.
Responsibilities
- Receive and accept signing assignments through our secure scheduling platform
- Review signing instructions carefully before appointments
- Print loan or legal documents from your home office using a laser printer
- Prepare and organize document packages accurately prior to appointments
- Travel to borrower, client, attorney, title company, hospital, business, or residential locations
- Verify signer identity according to state notary laws and company requirements
- Guide signers through documents by identifying document titles and signature locations
- Ensure all signatures, initials, dates, and notarizations are completed properly
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and neutrality during all appointments
- Perform a complete quality control review before leaving each signing
- Complete scanbacks immediately after appointments when required
- Drop completed packages at FedEx, UPS, or designated courier locations before shipping cutoff times
- Communicate promptly with schedulers, title companies, and clients regarding appointment updates or issues
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all applicable state notary laws and regulations

Requirements
- Active Notary Public commission in your state
- Current NNA Background Check
- Minimum $100,000 E&O Insurance coverage
- Current year W-9
- Reliable transportation
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet deadlines
- Smartphone, computer, scanner, and reliable high-speed internet access
- Laser printer required
- Dual-tray laser printer strongly preferred
- Ability to complete clear and timely PDF scanbacks
- Availability for evening and weekend appointments is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive client information
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Loan Signing Agent Certification from The Notary Education Center
- Experience with real estate closings
- Experience with estate planning signings
- Familiarity with platforms such as SigningOrder, Snapdocs, and similar systems
- Remote Online Notary authorization in applicable states
