The ACV Research & Development team is growing! We are looking for an Engineer II, Technology Product Manager to join our team, working on innovative hardware and software solutions that leverage machine learning to automate and improve vehicle inspection processes.
ACV has almost one thousand inspectors who write condition reports on every car in our marketplace, so buyers and sellers have an accurate assessment and can be confident in the deals they make. Our job is to create tools to help those inspectors work faster and more accurately.
The ideal candidate for this role will manage the lifecycle of the company's product system, from pre and post customer usage to reintegration into the manufacturing process. Your role will focus on ensuring the smooth and efficient transition of a product from design to large-scale production. This involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing to develop, implement, and refine production processes.

What you will do:
- Ability to identify areas of product or process improvement by evaluating systems on site at customer facilities
- Conduct inspections of faulty systems to determine overall condition, identify defects, malfunctions, or wear and tear
- Document findings from system inspections and assessments, including condition reports and defect logs
- Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life.
- Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure manufacturability and testability of new product designs, and optimize system design for serviceability
- Oversee initial installations to refine processes and address any issues pre and postproduction
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand Englis
- 1-3 years of experience in production engineering or manufacturing
- Project Management, Operations Management, or a related experience
- Familiarity with defining and implementing quality process improvement methodologies. Quality certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Black belt) a plus
- In-depth understanding of operational workflows and consumer needs.

- Proficiency in disassembling and reassembling system components
