What are the responsibilities and job description for the BCBA | Board Certified Behavior Analyst position at Acushnet Public Schools?
Provide consultation services to staff regarding students in the school who have Individualized
Education Plans (IEPs);
b. collaborate and contribute to the development of those plans to determine and prioritize goals;
c. develop a schedule for each student to be seen either within the classroom or in an individual or small
group setting outside the classroom (as dictated by the IEP);
d. conduct formative and summative educational assessments to determine each student’s current level
of functioning, including VB Map;
e. collaborate with teachers to determine the appropriate level of specialized instruction necessary for
each student to achieve the given goals;
f. provide ongoing training to staff around autism and treatment for students with autism;
g. collaborate with classroom teachers to implement accommodations and/or modifications as
prescribed in the IEP;
h. evaluate student progress toward meeting the goals and adjusting supports as necessary;
i. report progress toward goals to parents and school administration;
j. Communicate with parents to enhance their understanding of the services offered;
k. Attend IEP meetings for students on the caseload
Compensation will be in accordance with the salary scale outlined in the Acushnet Teachers Association collective bargaining agreement.
