The Parts Counter Person at Acura of Bedford Hills manages the inventory, sale, and distribution of auto parts and accessories to both retail customers and internal service technicians.
Core Responsibilities
- Internal Support: Supply technicians with the correct OEM parts to keep service bay jobs moving efficiently
- Retail & Wholesale Sales: Assist walk-in customers and phone clients in identifying, ordering, and purchasing necessary parts
- Catalog Lookup: Use Electronic Parts Catalogs (EPC) and VIN numbers to locate exact component part numbers
- Inventory Control: Receive, check in, stock, and label daily stock shipments; conduct routine physical inventory counts
- Transaction Processing: Create repair orders (ROs), invoices, and estimates, and process cash or credit payments
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of auto parts experience (dealership or aftermarket retail like AutoZone/NAPA preferred)
- Proficiency with EPC software and Dealership Management Systems (DMS) such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, components, and basic mechanical concepts
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long shifts, and safely operate material handling equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits
