Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled GCP Okta Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Okta Identity & Access Management (IAM). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure identity solutions across cloud environments, integrating Okta with enterprise applications, and managing authentication/access controls within GCP.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Okta IAM solutions including SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, and Universal Directory
- Integrate Okta with cloud and enterprise applications using SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM
- Manage identity and access controls across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments
- Configure and support GCP IAM roles, service accounts, permissions, and policies
- Implement secure access for GCP resources using Okta federation
- Automate user provisioning/deprovisioning workflows
- Troubleshoot authentication, access, and federation issues
- Work closely with Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams on governance and compliance initiatives
- Support audits, access reviews, and IAM best practices
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Okta administration and integrations
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with SSO, MFA, Federation, RBAC, IAM governance
- Knowledge of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM
- Experience with GCP IAM, service accounts, organization policies
- Scripting experience with Python / PowerShell / Terraform
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with BeyondCorp / Zero Trust models
- Knowledge of Google Workspace identity integrations
- Exposure to AWS / Azure IAM
- Okta Certifications or Google Cloud Certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in enterprise cloud environments
