Press Bench Hand - 3rd Shift

Position Summary

The Bench Hand Repair position requires the ability to repair/rework tooling in support of the Press/Stamping department with minimal supervision. Continuous Improvement of processes and products are an ongoing function of this position.

Qualifications-Education/Experience

Required:

• Ability to use all gauges and gauging techniques required.
• Ability to operate bench hand tools/equipment.
• Ability to complete a Job Skill Training Matrix for a Bench Hand Repair.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge in ISO/QS requirements.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.
• Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements.
• Provide written communication as needed.
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.
• HS Diploma, GED or relevant experience.
• Fluent in English (both strong verbal and written communication skills).
  
  

Preferred Skills & Abilities

• Minimum two years of experience in direct or related field, fastener experience a plus.
• Previous problem solving and troubleshooting skills/experience.
• Formal mechanical or technical training.
• Forklift operation/material-handling/overhead crane experience.
• Micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, wrenches and other general tools and equipment.
