Field Claims Representative (Field Claims Adjuster) - Pittsburgh

Acuity is seeking a Field Claims Representative to investigate, record facts, preserve evidence, determine coverage. The representative evaluates liability, exposure, subrogation potential and arrange for the disposition of claims through settlement or denial, including litigation. In this role, duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in the field and in person with a high level of frequency.

Candidates must be located in, or willing to relocate to, Western Pennsylvania or Greater Pittsburgh areas for this opportunity.

You will:

• Conduct on-site investigations of claims to gather evidence and determine the extent of damage or loss
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and statements
• Inspect damaged property and review repair estimates to determine the validity of claims
• Use sound judgment, discretion and settlement authority to resolve claims through negotiation, settlement or denial
• Prepare and submit detailed reports of claim investigations and findings
• Identify and pursue all subrogation opportunities
• Identify potentially fraudulent claims and promptly refer them to the SIU
  
  
  

You Have:

• 5 years of experience in claims adjusting multi-line and/or field adjusting experience
• Trucking Litigation background is a plus
• Valid driver's license
• Proficiency in claims management software
• Understand basic anatomy, medical terminology and have the ability to decipher medical records and bills

This job is classified as exempt.

The salary range for this position is $75,000- $150,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
