Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior DBA to manage and optimize our mission-critical SQL Server environment. The person will handle daily operations, troubleshoot complex performance issues, and ensure high availability for our financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Operations: Oversee installation, configuration, backups, and patching for a mixed fleet of SQL Servers.
- Tune Performance: Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, and slow queries.
- Ensure Availability: Maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems, including Always On Availability Groups and Transactional Replication.
- Support Development: Advise teams on SQL best practices, indexing, and code optimization.
- On-Call: Provide support for overnight batch jobs and critical production incidents.
Requirements
- Experience: 8 years as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of SQL Server internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting tools.
- HA/DR Expertise: Hands-on experience with Always On, Failover Clustering, and Log Shipping.
- Communication: Ability to clearly guide developers and stakeholders on database best practices.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
