Acuff Financial Services is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This is an in-office position responsible for preparing and reviewing a variety of federal and state tax returns while providing exceptional service to our individual and business clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare federal and state tax returns, including:
- Individual (Form 1040)
- Partnerships (Form 1065)
- S Corporations (Form 1120S)
- C Corporations (Form 1120)
- Trusts and Estates (Form 1041)
- Prepare and review business and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently.
- Research tax issues and apply current federal and state tax laws.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax documents, questions, notices, and filing requirements.
- Assist with tax planning and projections for individuals and businesses.
- Work collaboratively with the tax team to meet filing deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license required.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting or tax preparation experience.
- Demonstrated experience preparing business tax returns, including Partnerships (1065), S Corporations (1120S), and C Corporations (1120).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax preparation software (Drake preferred, or similar) and QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
