ActUp Theater is seeking an Outreach & Partnerships Manager to lead community engagement efforts and cultivate meaningful partnerships that expand the organization's impact throughout Connecticut. This role will serve as a key ambassador for ActUp Theater by building relationships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, community organizations and corporate partners to support productions, educational programs, fundraising initiatives, and special events.
The Outreach & Partnerships Manager will identify new collaboration opportunities, coordinate community engagement efforts, and strengthen ActUp Theater's visibility while advancing our mission.
Report To: This position reports to the Chief Operation Officer and the Executive Director
Requirements
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations throughout Connecticut.
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that support productions, educational programs, fundraising initiatives, and community events.
- Coordinate outreach efforts for productions, ActUp Theater Arts Academy (ATAA), ACTIVATE Workshops, fundraising campaigns and special initiatives.
- Represent ActUp Theater at networking events, community meetings, and public engagements.
- Assist with planning and executing community events, outreach initiatives, and partnership activations.
- Coordinate event logistics, including communication with vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team to promote programs, events, and partnership opportunities.
- Support the creation and distribution of outreach materials, presentations, and promotional resources.
- Maintain relationships with existing partners while identifying opportunities to expand collaboration.
- Track outreach activities, partnership engagement, and community impact while providing regular reports to leadership.
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers for productions, community events and outreach initiatives.
- Assist with internal outreach when needed
- Assist with outreach budgets and ensure effective use of organizational resources.
Qualifications
- Currently located in Hartford, CT
- Passion for arts education, community engagement, and nonprofit work.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable representing ActUp Theater at events and community functions.
- Experience developing partnerships with schools, nonprofits, businesses, and/or community organizations.
- Ability to identify sponsorship, collaboration, and community engagement opportunities.\
- Familiarity with Connecticut's nonprofit, education, or arts community is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
