Role Description
This is an on-site full-time confidential recruitment for one of our mid-sized manufacturing clients. They are seeking an experienced leader to oversee all Extrusion manufacturing operations, ensuring top performance in production, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily extrusion operations and manage production teams.
- Oversee capital equipment selection, installation, and startup.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot and support repairs for extrusion and related equipment.
- Manage resin suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, waste, and downtime.
- Maintain strong communication across shifts and departments.
- Track and report key performance metrics.
- Work with engineering on repair timelines.
Qualifications
- 8 years in plastic sheet extrusion, including 5 years in leadership.
- Expertise in polypropylene sheet extrusion and equipment troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and GMP.
- Proven team leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
