Acton School Department seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Finance/ HR Assistant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the finance and human resources fields. If you have a strong interest in finance, and

Role: Part-Time Finance /HR Assistant
Hours: 15 to 18 hours a week during the school year. (late August to the middle of June)
Responsibilities:
● Assist the finance department with various administrative tasks, such as data entry and report generation.
● Processing accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization. Prepare payments, including checks and electronic payments, and ensure timely Payment to vendors.
● Support HR in maintaining employee records, organizing files, and updating databases.
● Help coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing paperwork and conducting orientations.
● Attend monthly Policy meetings
● Contribute to special projects as assigned by the finance and HR director.
● Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Requirements:
● High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in finance, HR, or related field is a plus.
● Previous experience in finance, HR, or an administrative role is preferred.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
● Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
● Familiarity with AptaFund software is a plus.
● Understanding of finance and HR principles and practices.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
