Acton Methodist Church in Granbury, TX is actively seeking to fill the position of Contemporary Worship Leader with a person who is called, motivated and competent related to the following position description. QUALIFICATIONS
● Must be a follower of Jesus Christ, exhibiting a growing relationship and spiritual maturity. Committed to continuing spiritual, personal, and professional development

● Must be teachable with willingness to grow and learn
● Must be a team player and a strong leader, possessing strong team building skills
● Must have a strong knowledge of music both vocally and instrumentally
● Must possess good communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal
● Must be skilled in working with Planning Center Online
● Must be a person who can follow directions, follow through with commitments, and see things through to completion. Being dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable taking initiative
● Able to work with all demographics
● Must be involved in the Acton Methodist Church activities
● Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends, and extra hours when needed within reason
PRIMARY DUTIES
● Directs the Praise Team
● Coordinates and supervises weekly rehearsals with Praise Team
● Plans and evaluates the contemporary worship in collaboration with the Minister of Music
● Partner with the sound technician and production team to ensure high-quality audio for both the in-person worship experience and live or recorded broadcasts.
● Maintains contemporary worship plans up to date in Planning Center
● Guides the congregation in worship by encouraging them to participate fully, and fosters an environment of openness and connection to the Spirit.
● Leads prayer before, during, and after worship services when appropriate.
● Enlists “fill in” musicians
● Enlists and trains volunteer musicians and singers
● Prepares a Contemporary Worship annual budget in collaboration with the Minister of Music
● Attends Staff Meetings
● Performs other duties as assigned by the Minister of Music or Senior Pastor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor’s degree in Music
● Proficiency in keyboard or guitar (preferred)
● Three to five years of experience in a faith-based setting, with demonstrated ability to cast vision and lead a thriving music ministry and meaningful worship experiences.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to hear and see well, climb stairs, lift 50lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.65 - $26.82 per hour
