What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guide / Mentor / Gamemaker at Acton Academy position at Acton Academy Merrimack Valley?
At Acton Academy, we don't have teachers, we have Guides! As a Guide at Acton Academy, your role would be to provide the learners with the tools needed for them to be successful on their educational journey, demonstrate a growth mindset, and inspire the learners through Socratic discussions and hands on projects that are relevant to real-world skills needed outside of the classroom.
The following positions are available as full-time and/or part-time for the school year.
Schedule Options:
Monday thru Thursday OR Monday-Wednesday
8:00-3:30 pm
Monday- Thursday OR Monday-Wednesday
12:00-3:30 pm
Positions Available:
Spark Guide - Peacefully Strong Composer-This role is for someone who enjoys igniting the spark within young Heroes. A master multi-tasker that is a great storyteller, believes in equipping and empowering young minds. Someone who has a great poker face when hearing the silliest of stories and remains calm when it looks like glitter, paint, or flour exploded all over the floor. Learners in this Studio are ages 4-6.
Discovery Guide - This role is for someone who chooses a Growth Mindset, is a fantastic storyteller, can inspire and enjoys being inspired and is ready to empower Heroes to find their special gifts and strengths. Learners in this Studio are ages 7-12.
