Lead Application Security Engineer – WAF with our Banking client.
Locations: Charlotte, NC | Chandler, AZ | Dallas–Irving, TX (Hybrid: 3 onsite / 2 Remote)
Duration: 12–18 Months
Must work on W2 only.
We are looking for a Lead Application Security Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Layer 7 application security.
The ideal consultant will be responsible for implementing, tuning, and monitoring WAF solutions to protect high-availability enterprise applications from evolving web-based threats.
Must Have:
- 5 years in Web Application Firewalls (WAF) & Layer 7 Security
- Strong hands-on with: Imperva, ASM, Cloudflare, Akamai, F5 Advanced, FortiWeb, Barracuda
- Expertise in L7 DDoS, rate limiting, bot mitigation, API security
- Experience with DNS (A/CNAME), global/local load balancing
- Strong knowledge of web attacks, vulnerability mitigation & WAF tuning
Nice to Have:
- Load balancing, firewall basics
- Certifications: CISSP, GWEB, vendor WAF certs
