What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering General Manager position at Active RPO?
Role Summary: Hands-on operator who assists with the successful execution on catering events at two privately owned, upscale catering venues. This includes: service standards, troubleshooting, managing staff, and interacting with the guest. Also, partnering with the sales and catering team.
Duties can include:
- Reviewing event orders – troubleshooting, reviewing timelines, etc.
- Hiring, training, scheduling staff.
- Working closely with the operations team to execute events.
- Coordinating with other departments.
- Helping to create new systems and standards for operational excellence.
- Utilizing best practices in the catering / banquet industry.
Job qualifications:
- Prior Management role in Banquets: hotels or private clubs.5 years. Step up from a banquet manager.
- Experience leading or working closely with the culinary team. Maybe someone who was once a Chef, and became a FOH guy.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task and delegate.
- Strong communication skills.
- Professional image, hospitality spirit.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, etc.

Pay: $110,849.76 - $125,711.53 per year
