What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coach / DSP (Direct Support Professional) position at Active Living Services, Inc?
Job Overview:
We are a community-based day program. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals/Coaches. As a coach, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities while out in the community.
Duties:
Assist individuals through guidance, support and coaching
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care
Implement ISP goals
Maintain accurate documentation
Advocate for individual's rights and promote independence
Provide direct coaching services as outlined in the Individual Placement Plan (IPP) including one-on-one training of specific skills
Work closely with Program Supervisor to monitor Individual Services Plans.
Work on personalized goals as per IPP.
Work with the Program Supervisor to coordinate assessments, arranging for the development of individualized behavior support plans as needed.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Being able to work out in the community
Must have a valid Drivers license and a good driving record
Must pass DOJ/FBI background check
Clear a TB test

Shift:
Monday to Friday 6 hours per day 9am-3pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
