What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Specialist position at Active Health & Wellness?
The Patient Care Specialist supports patients and the healthcare team by creating a positive, caring experience at every visit. This role includes assisting patients, providing hands-on massage and muscle stimulation treatments, supporting daily clinic operations, and staying engaged with side duties between patient visits. Patient Care Specialists play an important part in helping our clinic run smoothly while supporting our mission of whole-body wellness.
Activities & Responsibilities:
- Patient Care Support: Preparing treatment rooms, escorting patients, obtaining patient histories, etc.
- Therapeutic Assistance: Applying therapy modalities such as hands-on massage, ultrasound, or electrical stimulation
- Patient Education: Explaining treatment plans, exercises, and wellness practices as directed by the chiropractor
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be self-motivated and driven learner
- Must have unwavering integrity and positivity
- Affinity for and/or experience with patient care
- Empathy & a genuine care for people
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years medical or healthcare experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to stand 8 hours
- Must have the ability to safely lift 40 pounds
- Must be willing to work full-time, in-house
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English fluently
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States
Pay: $14.50 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
