Overview
Active Armed Protection is seeking professional Security Officer to work Friday & Saturday 5:30pm-9:30pm. This assignment will require dependable, professional security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and vendors.
This will involve a variety of security functions including access control, patrol, and general safety presence.
We are looking for team members who are professional, alert, and capable of maintaining a strong security presence while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned event areas, Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Perform regular patrols of the event grounds and surrounding areas
- Assist with crowd management and guest direction when necessary
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns
- Write clear and accurate incident reports when required
- Communicate effectively with event staff, supervisors, and local authorities if needed
- Enforce event rules, policies, and safety procedures
- Provide a professional and customer-friendly presence for guests and staff
Skills
. Valid New York State Security Guard License (.Required)
- Armed Security Officers must possess valid NYS Armed Guard certification
- Strong observation and situational awareness skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic environments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Previous event security experience preferred but not required
