Packaging Associate

Activate, Inc
Ferndale, MI Full Time
POSTED ON 9/23/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/22/2025

Company Overview:

At Activate, we are renowned for crafting extraordinary experiences that make a lasting impact for some of the world's most influential brands. Our expertise spans the production of kits, mobile tours, and standout live events, enhancing brand visibility and strengthening customer loyalty. As a WBENC-certified company, we take pride in fostering an inclusive work environment that emphasizes growth, offers competitive benefits, and champions collaboration.

Position Summary:

The Packaging Associate plays a key role in the execution of our client experiences by assembling custom promotional kits (also known as PR boxes or experience kits). This is not your typical warehouse job — it's a hands-on, creative role that requires a sharp eye for detail and a passion for presentation. From assembling curated gift items to applying finishing touches that elevate the unboxing experience, you'll help bring each brand’s vision to life. Whether you're working on a small batch or a high-volume order, your attention to detail ensures that every kit is polished, professional, and packed to impress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble promotional kits with a high level of precision and creativity.
  • Fold clothing, wrap products, and add decorative touches (e.g., ribbon, tissue, labels) to elevate presentation.
  • Manage multiple kit builds simultaneously, each in varying stages of production.
  • Follow project instructions and visual guides to meet aesthetic and structural standards.
  • Assist in setting up kit layouts for internal review or photography.
  • Collaborate with Leads and Producers to meet production timelines and quality expectations.
  • Identify and report issues related to inventory, damage, or packaging challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the production process.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials as needed.
  • Oversee and execute hands-on tasks such as: Tying decorative bows and ribbons with consistency and flair, coordinating colors across materials for a cohesive brand look, arranging items in aesthetically pleasing and structurally secure layouts, fluffing crinkle paper and other filler to enhance visual impact, applying stickers, tissue wrap, and other finishing touches, and ensuring garments or soft goods are neatly folded and display-ready

Activate reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in fulfillment, retail display, merchandising, or event production is a plus.
  • Creative mindset with a strong sense of visual organization and aesthetics.
  • Strong attention to detail; takes pride in a polished final product.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions and replicate visual standards.
  • Comfortable working on your feet and occasionally lifting boxes up to 40 lbs.
  • Flexible and adaptable — able to pivot between tasks and meet tight deadlines.
