A food manufacturing company is seeking a Supervisory (Oregon Licensed) Electrician/Maintenance Manager to join their company in Salem, Oregon. This position is responsible for the operation of all facility equipment, utilities, and electrical systems within the factory. An active supervisory electrician license valid in Oregon, knowledge of industrial electrical systems and conveyor systems, over 6 years of leadership experience in a maintenance or technical management role, strong proficiency with MS Office, CMMS, and proficiency in general mechanical repair is required. This is a full time in person, exempt position with excellent benefits, including 401k.
Supervisory Electrician/Maintenance Manager Duties:
-Supervise and perform all electrical work in accordance with National Electrical Code and state licensing
-Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex electric and control system issues on industrial machinery
-Maintain and improve PLC, VFD, servos, robotics, and automated packaging lines
-Ensure all electrical installations meet code, safety, and documentation standards
-Create, manage, and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program
-Maintain accurate logs, maintenance schedules, and SOPs
-Conduct routine inspections of equipment, utilities, and building systems to identify issues before they impact production
-Repair and maintain industrial machinery, including pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, refrigeration, and glycol chillers
-Address building system needs and general facility upkeep
-Plan, price, procure, and complete repairs with cost-effective decision-making
-Monitor work in progress to maintain sanitary conditions and prevent contamination
-Collaborate with the safety committee to improve processes and maintain a clean environment
-Develop and update SOPs, maintenance procedures, and documentation
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FDA, BOLI, EEOC, and ADA
- Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and maintain required certifications
Supervisory Electrician/Maintenance Manager Skills:
-Must have an active supervisory electrician license valid in Oregon
-Knowledge of industrial electrical systems
- Over 6 years of leadership experience in a maintenance or technical management role
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery, automation, and facility systems
-Working knowledge of packaging, labeling, coding, palletizing, pumps, roasting, and conveyor systems
-Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, welding, fabrication, painting, and general mechanical repair
-Excellent communication skills for a multicultural work environment
-Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a 24/7 production environment
-Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms
-Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and regulatory requirements
