What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Gate Attendant position at Activ8 Amenity Consulting?
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Pool Gate Attendant to join our amenities team on a part-time weekend basis. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact at our residential pool, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and rule-compliant experience for all residents and their guests.
Schedule
- Weekends only (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
- Hours 10AM-8PM
- Hours may vary based on seasonal needs and pool operating hours
Key Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests upon arrival in a professional and welcoming manner
- Check in residents and verify pool band/access credentials before granting entry
- Ensure all guests are accompanied by a registered resident and have signed the required guest waiver
- Monitor pool capacity and manage entry accordingly
- Enforce pool rules and community guidelines at all times (no glass, no outside alcohol, age restrictions, etc.)
- Manage the gate desk, maintaining accurate check-in logs
- Address resident concerns or questions calmly and professionally; escalate issues to management when necessary
- Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the pool area to ensure rules are being followed
- Report any maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or incidents to the on-site manager
- Ensure the gate/desk area is clean and organized throughout your shift
Qualifications
- Prior customer service, lifeguard, or security experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional when enforcing rules or handling difficult situations
- Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
