Actionpaq Corporation is currently looking for a highly motivated individual who is willing to work in a stimulating, fast-paced environment with growth and development opportunities.
The hired person will be working as a design engineer and assist other engineers to work through the entire life cycle of a project including development, design, manufacturing and job site support. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills and have the ability to design industrial automation equipment and its components. The person will develop detailed diagrams and drawings, create bill of materials, develop equipment specifications, perform design calculations, participate in system installation, and assist with project on site testing.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Design and develop automation equipment components and assemblies for conveying systems.
- Interface with product development, sales, and customers in identifying key machine performance criteria prior to initiating detailed design activities
- Maintain and create accurate, timely BOMs and drawings for transfer to manufacturing team.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing team for new and existing designs to meet all shipping and startup schedules
- Provide technical support to manufacturing team for the assembly and testing of equipment through all product phases from prototype through full production.
- Performs functional inspection/testing for incoming products as they relate to engineering specifications and final use.
- Coordinate the flow of technical information to manufacturing team, sales team, customer support team and customers.
- Assist in documentation efforts to maintain controlled records of all manuals, drawings, bill of materials, and manual drawings
- Perform as project leader and/or individual contributor on assigned projects from conception through startup at the customer site
- Identify root cause and implement solutions to issues identified at all stages of product development including machinery installed at customer sites.

- Experience in mechanical design preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, or technical training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
