IgniteAction, a joint venture between ActioNet and Ignite has an immediate need of an experienced for a Tier 3 Desktop Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. This role is hands-on and dynamic, supporting enterprise desktops and virtual desktop solutions while helping modernize how we deliver IT services. You’ll work with tools like SCCM/MECM, Intune, BigFix, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), solve complex issues, and partner with different teams across the organization. Beyond the technical side, we value someone who’s a strong communicator, a team player, and willing to share knowledge with others.

What You’ll Do
- Provide Tier 3 support for tough desktop, application, and infrastructure issues—digging into root causes and making lasting fixes.
- Build and maintain desktop solutions using SCCM/MECM, Intune, and BigFix; support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Automate deployments and day-to-day operations with PowerShell, VBScript, and other scripting tools.
- Manage Active Directory and Group Policy, working closely with security teams to stay compliant.
- Jump into projects, test out new technologies, and help with change management efforts.
- Track performance and usage trends, create reports, and suggest improvements.
- Document processes and SOPs; mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.
- Collaborate with other IT groups to drive modernization initiatives and deliver a smooth end-user experience.
- Strong communication skills—able to explain technical concepts clearly to both tech-savvy and non-technical folks.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on long-term, sustainable fixes.
- Team player who works well with others and shares knowledge freely.
- Flexible and open to learning new tools, technologies, and approaches.
- Comfortable mentoring and guiding less-experienced teammates.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a High Public Trust.
- Hands-on experience with AVD, SCCM/MECM, Intune, and BigFix.
- Proficiency with PowerShell and scripting for automation.
- Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow (nice to have).
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
- CompTIA Security CE
- ITIL Foundation (a plus)
