ActioNet is seeking a Tier 2 - Junior IT Specialist to provide dependable on-site and remote technical support for users in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree, 1–2 years of IT or help desk experience, and a strong customer service mindset. This role supports the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network-related issues while maintaining clear documentation and following established IT procedures.
Salary: 40-46K
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote desk side support for end users in an enterprise environment.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with system imaging, deployment, and configuration using tools such as SCCM and Intune.
- Support user account setup, password resets, and access management in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Troubleshoot issues related to network connectivity, AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) sessions, BitLocker encryption, and KVM switch connections.
- Assist with Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrollment and compliance.
- Document work performed in the IT ticketing system and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Provide user support for Microsoft Office Suite and standard business applications.
- Help maintain IT asset inventory and ensure accurate tracking of equipment.
- Support printer installation and configuration.
- Perform system updates and patching under supervision.
- Communicate clearly with end users to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
- Follow IT security and operational procedures at all times.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience providing IT or help desk support in an enterprise environment.
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, and networking fundamentals.
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA A , IT Fundamentals , or equivalent.
