ActioNet has an opportunity for a Citrix/SQL Server Systems Administrator requiring a SECRET clearance in Vienna, VA.
The Citrix/SQL Server Systems Administrator provides comprehensive support in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Citrix virtual environments and SQL Server databases in support of the Treasury Secure Data Network (TSDN). This role ensures that virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and database systems operate securely, reliably, and efficiently in compliance with Treasury, DoD, and NIST requirements. The individual will work closely with engineers, program managers, and operations staff to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and support disaster recovery activities.

The Citrix/SQL Server Systems Administrator provides comprehensive support in managing, maintaining, and optimizing Citrix virtual environments and SQL Server databases in support of the Treasury Secure Data Network (TSDN). This role ensures that virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and database systems operate securely, reliably, and efficiently in compliance with Treasury, DoD, and NIST requirements. The individual will work closely with engineers, program managers, and operations staff to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and support disaster recovery activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments.
- Provide support for SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, patching, and backup/recovery.
- Implement and enforce security policies in accordance with Treasury and DoD directives.
- Perform system upgrades, migrations, and patches to ensure compliance and performance.
- Support disaster recovery and continuity of operations (COOP) exercises for Citrix and SQL Server environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents escalated from the Service Desk.
- Document system configurations, changes, and procedures in accordance with Treasury requirements.
- Secret clearance with favorable T-3 investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in Citrix administration (XenApp/XenDesktop).
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) or higher.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or SQL Server certification.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of VMware, SCCM, and enterprise backup solutions.
- Prior experience supporting federal agency IT infrastructure environments.
