Boat Detailer

Action Water Sports is looking to fill the position of Boat Detailer at our award-winning Fenton location. Our Fenton location services the Metro Detroit boating community and carries premier brands such as MasterCraft Boats and Barletta Pontoons. **Starting pay based on experience**

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform final finish/detail on deliveries, in-stock and service boats, including cleaning windows, upholstery, canvas, isinglass, bilges, fiberglass and wood.
• Use of high-speed buffers and polishers to properly detail the exterior surfaces
• Removing dust, grease and oil from exterior surfaces of boats and trailers.
• Knowledge of proper products for safe detailing of vessels including cleaners for various surfaces, degreasers, and waxes.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the dealership to ensure a professional work environment conducive to selling
• Assist with the setup of boat shows and other off-site promotional events.

Technical and Physical Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work safely around the water
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Basic boat handling skills preferred
• Knowledge of dock construction and repair preferred
• Knowledge of basic power tools preferred
