Job Summary
Action Truck and Trailer Service, Inc. is looking to hire full time truck Diesel mechanic(s) Mechanic.
Candidates must be knowledgeable of the computer diagnostics , engine and transmission problems (overhaul), electric issues, DPF issues, brake and chamber replacement, king pins, water pump, air compressor, clutch, valve adjustment, injector replacement, and all seals...
Engine overhaul, electric and DPF system knowledge plus experience strongly required for this position (specially Volvo and Freightliner).
Welding experience is a plus! Knowledge of Cummins, Volvo, Cat, Detroit Diesel, Paccar engines.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as fuel injectors, pumps, and exhaust systems.
- Conduct inspections on hydraulic systems, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Provide tire services including installation, rotation, and balancing.
- Utilize welding skills to repair or fabricate parts as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in diesel mechanics or a related field is essential.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques is required.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Skills in soldering and welding are beneficial for performing repairs effectively.
