Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team at Action Supply and sister companies. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial, industrial, and office spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and protocols
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning machinery to maintain floors in pristine condition
- Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a hygienic environment
- Assist with custodial duties such as restocking supplies and maintaining cleaning equipment in optimal condition
- Follow safety protocols during all manual handling activities, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed to uphold the overall cleanliness and safety standards
Requirements
- Valid drivers license to be able to drive to multiple locations
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Experience with chemical agent handling and adherence to safety procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices
- Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a clean working environment
