Mechanical Engineer, Bilingual Spanish

Our client, a leading manufacturer in Irvington, NJ, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering software and tools. This role involves designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems while confirming compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Engineer will ensure efficient technical support and training for all equipment and machines at our facility. Bilingual Spanish is an absolute requirement. Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems crucial.

Monday-Friday, 6:30a-4:30p and 2 Saturdays/month, 6:30a-12p

Salary starts at $130,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include:

· Support and coach maintenance team of electricians and mechanical technicians

· Experience with Comprehensive Computer Maintenance Software (CCMS)

· Diagnose and resolve issues in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal equipment performance.

· Manage Work Instructions, blueprints, Preventative Maintenance and inventory of parts using CMMS

· Develop/Improve PM procedures and Parts Inventory for production and equipment

· Analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and recommending upgrades

· Create and Improve Fixtures or Machine design and controls

· PLC Program and Troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens)

Skills

• At least 4 years experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably at a manufacturing facility
• Bilingual Spanish required
• BA Engineering required
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems and PM
• Proficiency in project scheduling techniques and Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
• ·Experience with Lathe and CNC is a plus
• Ability to create detailed schematics and technical documentation.
