About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor to play a critical role in our New Bremen operations. In this position, you will oversee the efficient and accurate movement of goods within our non-durable goods manufacturing environment.
You will act as the key liaison between production, warehouse, and logistics teams to guarantee the timely delivery and receipt of materials and finished products. By optimizing workflow and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of shipping and receiving associates, providing guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
- Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of all shipments and deliveries.
- Collaborate with the production department to align shipping schedules with inventory levels.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards across all shipping and receiving operations.
- Resolve issues related to damaged goods, shipment discrepancies, and delivery delays in a timely manner.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize delays.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).
- Strong understanding of shipping regulations, inventory control, and safety standards.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required (20 to 30 lbs. repetitive and 50 lbs. occasional) and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Possess strong organizational, time management, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to operate a Forklift.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the corrugated manufacturing industry.
- Certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields (e.g., OSHA, APICS).
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
- Knowledge of transportation and freight management processes.
