We are currently searching for a Maintenance Supervisor for our Florence, SC location. As a Maintenance Supervisor you can expect to plan, organize, and manage all the activities pertaining to the maintenance department to ensure an efficient, high-quality, cost-effective operating facility in coherence with promoting the corporate vision, mission statement, and core values.

What you need to be successful at Opus Packaging:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a maintenance lead or supervisory role.
- A wide technical knowledge including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and general construction practices. PLC knowledge a plus but not required.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work without detailed work instructions.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills, employee development skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to plan and organize.
- Excellent written and oral listening/communication skills.
During a normal workday you can expect to:
- Lead the maintenance team to achieve corporate goals by planning and directing activities and establishing priorities in keeping with customer needs.
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machinery and equipment, physical structures, plumbing, hydraulic, electrical, and automated systems including bearings, gears, PLC’s, machine controls, etc.
- Support installation of new equipment and facilities improvements.
- Implement and maintain safety and quality procedures and identify unsafe conditions or practices.
- Order parts and supplies for the department.
- Maintain maintenance records.
- Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility.
- Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Investigate problems to ensure efficient facility operation and determine root cause to prevent recurrence.
- Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
