Turning/Chucking Operator

Job Summary:

• Operate single or multi-spindle automatic machines to produce various metal parts.
• Machine operations include turning, drilling, reaming, and facing.
• Work in a busy, industrial environment with exposure to oily mists and vapors from operating machinery.
• Load prefabricated extrusions (casting/impact) into the machine as needed to maintain continuous operation.
• Perform repetitive tasks following detailed instructions; monitor for faulty operations or defective materials.
• Machine set-up and adjustments are handled by others; operators focus on efficient operation and quality control.
• Work under close supervision with in-process and final inspections to ensure product quality.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Training and Experience:

• Previous experience or training in a similar manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.

Additional Information:

• Safety precautions and protective equipment will be provided.
• This is a physically demanding role, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
