Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Machining Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time, long-term position focused on process improvements across both sides of our business: driveshaft manufacturing and CNC machining. You will play a key role in improving efficiency, developing standardized processes, and supporting our team with engineering expertise. A successful candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, hands-on manufacturing knowledge, and experience with CAD/CAM software.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Work closely with the Machine Shop Manager and Driveshaft Manager to support production goals
- Create and maintain technical drawings for components and assemblies
- Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 experience preferred)
- Support machinists and technicians with tooling selection, setup optimization, and best practices
- Document standardized work instructions and procedures
- Lead projects related to workflow improvements, equipment utilization, and quality enhancements
- Provide technical input on new equipment, tooling, and technology to support growth
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in CAD and CAM software (Fusion 360 or similar)
- Strong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing principles
- Hands-on experience in a machine shop environment is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
