What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Production Associate position at Action Graphics?
We’re a small local business looking to add a Print Production Associate at our facility in Butler, WI. We are looking for a hardworking individual to fill an upcoming position. You’ll play a key role in bringing our printed projects to life. In this role you will be responsible for daily tasks such as cutting paper per specifications, folding, collating, assisting with overflow work from other departments such as loading/unloading paper, mailings, weeding/cutting custom decals. Essential job training will be provided during a 90 day probationary period.
Hours for this position:
Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm
Summer Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am – 5:30pm & Friday’s 8:00am – Noon
Winter Break: We’re closed Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day
Essential Duties:
- Set up, adjust, and operate bindery and finishing equipment including folding, cutting, stitching, and other machinery
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently
- Counting, shrinking and packaging for final delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Monitor quality, output and productivity
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment
- Willingness to learn, cross-train, and adapt to evolving technologies
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. Occasional kneeling, crouching or reaching
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
What you’ll need:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail, maintain quality of printed materials
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret written instructions to setup cutting, creasing, folding, and booklet making machines
- Maintain quality control for printed materials
- Effective and clear written and oral communication skills
- Ability to differentiate colors.
- Great attendance and punctuality
- Good mathematical skills
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $16-$20 per hour (depending on experience)
