We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool, Afterschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As a Preschool Teacher/After School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our students, guiding their development through engaging activities and individualized attention.
This is a Part Time Position. Hours are Monday-Friday 1:00PM-5:00PM
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in various domains including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and creativity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting respect and cooperation among students.
- Organize and participate in activities that enhance children's learning experiences, including arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and outdoor play.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive educational environment.
- Transport school age children to and from local elementary schools. A clean valid California Driver's license. Less than one point on record required.
Experience
- Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units from a qualifying college required.
- Proven experience in classroom management and working with young children in daycare or educational settings..
- Experience in tutoring or coaching sports can be beneficial for developing teamwork skills among children.
- Experience leading camps or similar programs is advantageous for creating engaging learning experiences.
All candidates must be able to pass a background check and receive clearance before starting.
