Action Contractors is looking to hire a Construction Superintendent with experience working on ground up commercial buildings, public and private to oversee, manage and direct all aspects of a project from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership qualities that allow him or her to take control of a project and produce results.

All applicants should be hardworking, reliable, and able to communicate effectively. Applicants must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and organize their jobsite.

Superintendent shall supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis while on the job site. The superintendent shall ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work is being performed.

Responsibilities:

· Schedule subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of the project.

· Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.

· Perform preinstallation meetings for all contractor activities.

· Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.

· Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions and site subcontractors

· Coordination/communication with local utility companies.

· Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.

· Identify conflicts in the construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.

· Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite, including daily photos of all activities.

· Prepare and present daily reports, maintaining clear and effective communication with all team members.

· Ensure subcontractor have corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.

· Walk project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.

· Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.

· Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.

· Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean, safe and organized manner.

· Enforce and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely progress and addressing any delays or issues.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in the construction industry.

Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial and/or publicly bid construction projects.

Excellent communication skills.

Reliable transportation. Some travel may be required.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Project
