Salesperson

Action Camera in Rocklin is looking to grow our specialized Sales Associate team! We are looking for outgoing individuals who are eager to learn and eager to share their knowledge. Everyone on our team has a passion for photography or visual arts, so we encourage you to apply if you feel the same way we do.

A day in the life: You'll spend your days talking to photographers/videographers of all skill levels. You'll help them figure out what they actually need by asking the right questions, listening closely to their responses, and then you'll sell the solution to them. The people who do well here are comfortable making a recommendation based on their expertise, not just answering questions and pointing at a shelf.

You don't need to be a professional photographer, however it would help if you knew your way around a camera well enough to have a real conversation. It is important that you have a desire to learn the rest, we can teach you the gear.

What the job involves

• Selling cameras, lenses, and accessories
• Learning product lines and keeping up with new releases
• (Optionally) teaching classes & leading photowalks
• Taking in photo lab and repair work at the counter
• A bit of everyday tech support
• Working Fridays & Saturdays. Our store is closed on Sundays. Your schedule would have one day off between Monday and Saturday and guaranteed Sundays off (aside from two Sundays a year where we are open a half day)
